Case Study 1 - Oil Gas Supplier
Back to HISO 9001 Quality System
Background
Due to increased oil and gas sector demand, resulting in a rapid expansion of an Oil/Gas supplier, existing quality resources were re allocated to manage this extra work. Consequently, as identified during management reviews and audits, ISO 9001 Quality system compliance levels were impacted.
Kure and Associates were approached to provide the additional support resources to address existing systems compliance issues in preparation for the ISO 9001 triennial re-certification audit.
Solutions and actions completed:
Following an initial client brief, Kure and Associates developed a two (2) week resourcing and work schedule prior to the planned triennial audit:
Completed outstanding scheduled audits
New capabilities incorporated into the Quality management system.
A design control process documented based on the existing engineering, design processes and including subcontracted work activities
Daily operational management review activities were incorporated into the quality system, to minimise preparatory work for yearly management review meetings e
Management Review meeting chaired with senior company personnel
Outstanding Non-conformances, corrective/preventive actions and customer claims actioned
On line training “Project Quality Management’ distributed to employees and staff.
Outcomes/achievements
Triennial systems re-certification achieved
All triennial area of concerns and improvement corrective actions resolved within one (1) day following triennial audit
Client support with Special Audit preparation upgrading ISO 9001 certification capabilities to include Electrical and Instrumentation
Yearly Client Quality Systems maintenance action plan developed to internally manaage the System, ahead of further planned employee number increases and factory workshop expansions
